Food Haul!

I've only been at school for three weeks, and I've already come to the realization that it is extremely difficult to keep up with a healthy diet. With fast food everywhere and the absence of parents to nag you about eating your fruits and veggies, it's easy to get off track. I've been doing my best to stray away from the convenient dining hall foods, but I will admit that I have caved a few times.

Last night, as I was browsing through the food category of Pinterest, I had a sudden epiphany and realized that just because I'm in college doesn't mean my only food options are ramen noodles and fast food. This morning, I hopped out of bed and decided to embark on a journey to Whole Foods, located a few towns over. I have to say, I'm pretty stoked about my choices. With all of this junk food around me, I've actually been CRAVING my fruits and veggies. I made sure I had plenty of options (and space in my mini-fridge) to last me about a week. Whole Foods might be on the pricier side, but I REFUSE TO GAIN THE FRESHMAN FIFTEEN. Along with a variety of fruits, I also picked up a few "healthy" snacks to munch on throughout the day. I don't know if I'll be able to make the forty-five minute drive to Whole Foods every week, but I'm pretty excited that I have healthier (and yummy!) options to choose from.

This Week's Nails

Although the weather in Texas feels like summer is in full swing, it unfortunately is coming to a close. To hold onto summer as long as I can, I've been making the most of these last few weeks by rocking my brightest nail polishes. This week, I went with Essie's Tart Deco, along with China Glaze's Swing Baby on the accent nails. Lately I've been loving geometric shapes and patterns, and I decided to transfer my obsession onto my nails as well.

An Introduction

Welcome to The Glitter Pages! Let me start off by saying, this is my first blog and I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. I'm just your average college freshman trying to find her place in the world. I am studying interior design at a university here in Texas, and although I am only on week two of classes, I am already ecstatic to begin my career as a designer. I'm not quite sure what the focal point of this blog is going to be, and I've decided that I'll just go along with whatever my imagination can create. I'm quite the girly-girl, so there will probably be a great amount of nail polish, fashion, and design posts; as well as the occasional life lesson or college experience. As an interior design major, I am reluctantly anticipating many late nights finishing up stressful projects, meaning this blog will also serve as a place for me to vent about my struggles, fears, and annoyances. At this point, I've run out of things to say, so I'll end by saying:
